...Snow, Ice Covered Roads For Many Tonight...Another Storm
Possible Saturday Afternoon and Night...
.At late evening...snow continued to fall north of Interstate 90,
with more of wintry mix to freezing rain south of there. A few
tenths to 1 inch of snow has been reported across parts of
southeast Minnesota into western Wisconsin. Meanwhile along and
south of Interstate 90, untreated roads and sidewalks have, or
were developing a glaze of ice. Law enforcement has reported
several accidents due to the travel conditions.
The snow, freezing rain to wintry mix will continue into the
overnight hours, with road conditions likely becoming more slick
and hazardous. The Friday morning commute will be impacted.
2 to locally 5 inches of snow is expected along and north of a
Charles City, Iowa to Winona, Minnesota and Black River Falls,
Wisconsin line. Lesser amounts to the south, but a greater threat
for light icing.
Another storm system is taking aim on the Upper Mississippi River
Valley Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. There is the
potential for heavy snowfall.

FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations of up
to 1/2 inch and ice accumulations of up to 1/10 of an inch are
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southwest Wisconsin and northeast Iowa.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Friday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
