The upcoming week will start out cold but with sunny skies on Monday. However, a quick moving system is expected to produce some light snow or flurries across the southern half of Iowa on Monday night. Little accumulation is expected with this system. The remainder of the work week appears dry at this time with warming temperatures by midweek. Highs are forecast to return to the upper 30s to mid 40s by Thursday and Friday. The warmth is expected to be short lived as a cold front passes through Iowa later Friday with much colder temperatures by next weekend.
