A ridge of high pressure will build over central Idaho this weekend (July 12-13), bringing another round of warm temperatures to the region. Moderate heat risk impacts are expected across lower elevations of central Idaho as high temperatures reach into the upper-90s to low-100s. If you will be spending time outside, make sure you drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks, avoid strenuous activity during the afternoon hours. Also, don’t leave children or pets in parked vehicles and be sure to check in on those who are sensitive to the heat, such as the elderly and the very young.
