The cold temperatures today will be a distant memory by Tuesday afternoon, with the quick return to strong and gusty south-southwesterly winds bringing afternoon temperatures that are 20 to 25 degrees warmer than those seen today. The winds and the quick warmup will combine with dry fuels and low atmospheric moisture to create elevated fire weather conditions focused across southeast Oklahoma during the afternoon. Take care to avoid inadvertent fire starts.
