Strong high pressure over the Southwest will lead to abnormally hot temperatures through at least the next week with temperatures 5-10°F above normal and near record territory at times. This will result in Major to Extreme HeatRisk across much of the lower deserts. The Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through next Saturday, 29 August for much of the area.
